Sucker for Love Crush Landing Hheily — Crush Landing's Comet
An Eldritch Oddity who crash-lands looking like a date and hungry like a colour.
Hheily is the love interest of Sucker for Love: Crush Landing: a sentient comet who can shapeshift into “anything — including a hot babe,” in the store’s words, and who will eat the colour out of your apartment if you let the flame die. She is The Colour Out of Space with a Halley pun in the name (TV Tropes and players spell the joke out: Halley’s Comet, Hheily). She is also Clark Ashton Smith’s singing flame by way of a dating sim. She is not a Great Old One with a book, which is the most important mechanical fact on this page.
Appearance
In meteorite form she is a glowing orb with a face, sitting in a hole that used to be a wall, throwing magenta and cyan fire that the HUD treats as a health bar. In human form, official art and screenshots give her a wide hat, prismatic skin, dark hair that behaves like a nebula, and a body that looks painted in leftover crayons. She can copy a magazine pin-up if you show her one. That copy is a mask. The colour underneath does not care about the mask.
The hand that touches her first does not stay a hand. Skin goes grey, pattern-blotched, numb. She does not do that as a villain beat. She does that because she is a colour that does not know how not to bleed into organic matter.
Personality and speech
Previews agree she is gentler and more confused than the series’ previous girlfriends. She is not fluent. She repeats the host’s words until she has stolen enough of them to hold a conversation. That limitation is cute until you realize you are authoring her. If you only offer thirst, she only has thirst. If you offer “safe,” “stay,” names of colors, and a real sentence, she can return them. The romance guide treats this as the affection system.
She wants to live. She wants the flame fed. Official copy says she did not come to the planet by accident, and that a malevolent something followed her trail. Gentle is not harmless. Noisy Pixel’s line is the right one: her desire not to do harm does not mean she is safe to have in the living room.
Role in the mythos of this game
Akabaka: not a god, an Eldritch Oddity. No Necronomicon. You watch how she mutates plants, living things, and organic matter as you feed colors. That is the Colour Out of Space story, restaged as a date. The darkness at the edge of the apartment is the other half of the store blurb’s “interplanetary conflict between light and dark.” Hheily is the light, which should worry you.
She is not Ln’eta, not Rhok’zan, not Nyanlathotep. Fan theories that she is the child of other series characters are fan theories. This page will update if the full campaign names a parent. Until then she is the comet in your wall.
How you actually date her
- Touch with the hand so she can appear. Getting started.
- Keep the flame alive with unique colors. How to feed Hheily.
- Take Flora’s flowers; bounce people who want the heat for themselves. Supporting cast.
- Give her words. Stay for the cost. True ending.
If you starve her, you get Blackout. If you refuse to be anything but a host, you get Host. If you poke the first prompt with “something else,” you never meet her. Those closes are on neutral and bad endings.
Why players like her
She is easier to look at than a tentacle marriage and less exhausting than a house full of cultists, then she peels your hand anyway. That is the Crush Landing joke. The embedded video is a long meeting-the-meteorite playthrough if you want to hear the voice work before you buy. When you are done with biography, go back to the apartment and feed her something you can afford to lose — not the last purple in the bowl.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do you pronounce Hheily?
Players treat it as a Halley / Hayley pun. The game’s voice acting is the authority. Listen once with voices on.
Is Hheily a god in the Cthulhu mythos sense?
Akabaka says no — an Eldritch Oddity. That is why Crush Landing has no ritual book.
Can Hheily shapeshift into anyone?
Store text says anything, including a hot babe. Magazine copies are a documented gag. The flame is still the real body.
What does Hheily eat?
Pigment. See the colored items list. People are not on the menu unless you fail spectacularly.
