Puzzle Walkthrough

Sucker for Love: Crush Landing’s puzzles are not pipe minigames. They are inventory, timing, and manners. The apartment is the board. The meteorite is the slot. The door is a random event table that is not actually random once you have seen Flora once. This page is the logic. The colored items list is the loot table. How to feed Hheily is the rulebook.

Puzzle 0: the touch

Before colors exist, the meteorite is a binary puzzle. Hand = date. Something else = ash. Not touching = a doppelganger beat in preview coverage. If you are here because you already ashed yourself, that was the puzzle. Reload. Details in getting started.

Puzzle 1: count before you spend

The first real puzzle is information. Spin the 360 room. Open fridge, freezer, cabinets, the plant, the gifts, the seafood, the bath clutter. Match each prop to a HUD color dot. Do not feed until you can say which hue you have two of.

Wrong solution: feed the nearest bright object because the bar moved a millimeter. Right solution: feed a duplicate, or wait for Flora.

Puzzle 2: shifting colors

Noisy Pixel’s preview is the warning that matters: some items change color and can trap you if you wait for a shade that never comes back. If an object is mid-shift, ask:

  • Do I already have this target hue elsewhere?
  • Is the flame actually dying?
  • Will a visitor replace this?

If the answers are no, no, and maybe, stop staring at it. Find a static prop. Fish food / orange jokes in playthroughs exist because the game wants you thinking about pigment science, not just “red-ish.”

Puzzle 3: the ten-minute wait

Demo assistance is a real-time timer of about ten minutes. That timer is a puzzle constraint, not idle flavor. You can:

  • Inventory twice.
  • Talk to Hheily in any human-form window.
  • Answer every knock.
  • Feed only as the bar demands.

You cannot solve a later chapter’s darkness fight in this window. Do not try. The full walkthrough tells you when the campaign continues past this lab.

Puzzle 4: the door

Knocks are resource events.

Flame-hungry strangerSlam or refuse access to the rockThey want Hheily’s heat, not your health

Names and personalities: supporting cast. Romance implications: how to romance Hheily.

Puzzle 5: language as a lock

Hheily’s vocabulary is a soft puzzle. If you never say the words for the thing you want her to understand, she cannot discuss it. Introduce color names, “safe,” “stay,” and whatever you want in a confession, then keep the flame alive long enough for her to use them. This is not a cipher. It is a reminder to stop skipping voice lines.

Puzzle 6: fail puzzles you can opt into

Some “puzzles” are just endings:

  • Starve the flame → Blackout-style fails.
  • Extinguish on purpose → moral fail, sometimes a named close.
  • Overfeed unique hues early → trapped board, then a panic fail.
  • Something else on the first touch → ash.

If you are hunting those, you want the demo walkthrough and neutral and bad endings, not a “correct” color order.

A clean puzzle sequence for a romance file

  1. Save after Hheily appears.
  2. Full orbit + fridge check.
  3. Wait for Flora if any HUD dot has no duplicate.
  4. Spend the safest duplicate when the bar dips.
  5. Never spend the last instance of a hue unless the prompt names it.
  6. Save again.
  7. Continue with the full walkthrough when the demo wall is gone.

The embedded video is a demo all-endings and secret compilation. Use it to see how puzzle failures look, then come back to this list so you can stay on the smooch file. For the actual smooch flags, switch to true ending.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is there a single correct color order?

No published official order. The correct logic is duplicates first, unique hues last, Flora before panic. See how to feed Hheily.

Why did my item change color?

Some props shift on purpose and can trap a run. Switch to a static source of that hue instead of waiting forever.

Should I always open the door?

No. Flora yes, scammers no. When unsure, save, then check supporting cast.

Does the timer pause in menus?

Treat the assistance wait as live. Inventory in-world. Do not assume a pause menu freezes the glow.
